• Cotton and nylon mix

Details:

• Woven entirely by hand using traditional Wayuu technique
• Over three weeks of work per bag
• Colours and pattern are chosen by the weaver, so each bag is one of a kind
• Packs flat for travel and storage

• Gentle hand wash, dry flat

Materials:

Hand-woven cotton, with the pattern built into the weave rather than printed on.

Production:

Made by women of the indigenous Wayuu community in Colombia, using crochet and weaving techniques passed from mother to daughter. Each bag takes more than three weeks.

Sustainability:

Made slowly and individually rather than in factory runs. Bought directly so the weavers are paid properly for the time each bag takes.
