Garment production:

Each gilet is made in Lithuania by a small family-run atelier that operates in accordance with EU employment and workplace standards.

Fabric origin:

Our Merino wool is sourced in New Zealand from suppliers who uphold high animal welfare standards and are certified mulesing-free. The wool is shorn annually as part of the sheep's natural care, with no harm to the animal. The fabric is then knitted and finished in Italy.

Sustainability:

We work to minimise our environmental impact at every stage. Minimal plastics are used in the making of this garment, and the dyes are OEKO-TEX® certified — tested for harmful substances and processed under controlled conditions that are safe for people and for the environment.

Most versatile part of my wardrobe! Perfect for layering and all seasons. Dewy sunday mornings through to wintery walks under a chunky jumper. I get endless compliments on it!

The gilet is lovely. I bought it in cream in a size small. It’s quite snug.. I would say I was a size ten but I think it will look great over a thin jersey. Not as soft as I was expecting, but it’s natural!

Our gilets are made from 100% merino wool, certified by both Woolmark and OEKO-TEX, and crafted in Lithuania. There are cheaper gilets out there, but they're almost always synthetic and made very differently — that's the difference the price reflects.

It didn't suit me, possibly because I have a long body. It seemed too short and was much stiffer than I was expecting.

I’ve returned it. I didn’t like the colour, it wasn’t the cream colour i was expecting. Also i didn’t like the feel of it.

On the colour — our gilets are 100% natural merino, dyed with OEKO-TEX safe dyes, so the wool's own colour comes through. That shifts a little with the season, as the sheep's coat is darker in winter than in summer. A small amount of variation is part of the material, and it's something we've chosen to keep.

On the feel — that very soft, slippery handle you often find in fleece usually comes from polyester in the blend. Ours is pure merino, so it feels different. It's a deliberate choice, though we appreciate it isn't to everyone's taste.

I returned this item as it didn’t suit me as too bulky. I was shocked that I was charged £10 for the return. I won’t be using this company again.
