Seeing your sofa on the front cover of a magazine is a fantastic, if not surreal, experience.
The sofa where I snuggle with the kids (and pretend Farley isn’t allowed to sprawl!) is the cover of 91 Magazine after The Small Home featured in its latest edition.
The theme of the issue is ‘simplify’ - celebrating simplicity, simple living & simple pleasures. It is a perfect fit for The Small Home ethos.
Simplifying your space isn’t what you leave out, it’s being intentional about everything you keep in.
Each piece of ethical homeware in my house is a conscious choice; the result is a home which feels considered.
Regularly rethinking my home edit makes sure it continues to reflect my values of authenticity, uniqueness and soul.
Here are the artisan products I live with and love – starting with that cover star sofa.
PS The front cover inspired illustrator and design writer, Greg McIndoe, to produce this stunning illustration – how cool is that @headlessgreg
A luxury throw extends the life of the sofa in a hardworking family home. A real sheepskin rug adds luxe when draped over the arm. Luxury cushions layer comfort & colour. Merino wool blankets offer the snuggle factor. Indoor wind chimes add decorative details.
Ceramic planters make useful and beautiful vessels for greenery. African woven baskets provide stylish storage options.
Eco friendly homeware such beautiful artisan mugs turns a quick cuppa into an experience to be savoured. Add a 100% beeswax candles on brass trays for a real sense of occasion.
