For Day 3 of our 5 Gilets Styled 5 Ways series, the focus is on our Zip Merino Gilet — a more casual, boxy style that layers perfectly over hoodies, knits or activewear.
It delivers the same tactile warmth as all our Merino Gilets but has a clean zip front for a more modern edge. This style is unlined, with the reverse of the fabric finished in soft brushed merino — lightweight, breathable and easy to wear.
Watch the video below to see how stylist @vixwebbstyling styles this comfortable everyday look.
Vix has built this look around activewear in one of the season’s key shades — burgundy. She pairs Sweaty Betty leggings with an oversized H&M angora knit, styled over the shoulders as a scarf — a simple but clever way to add warmth and texture.
The outfit is worn back with our Agnes Sheepskin Boots in coal — warm, shearling-lined and effortless to slip on and off between home and the yoga studio. The subtle deep red wool trim ties back perfectly with the rest of the outfit, and the waterproof soles mean they’re ideal for short walks to and from class.
The look is finished with a black cross-body bag. Vix styles her Horsebit Gucci bag, a Sézane’s Milo Mini or A.P.C.’s Gracie bag would work just as well.
We shot this look at one of my favourite local yoga studios, Good Good in Balham — a calm, welcoming space that’s well worth a visit if you’re nearby (and Alison Olmi is the best!).
