A scarf is one of those small accessories that can completely transform an outfit — and thankfully, they’re having a real moment this season. From silk squares to organic cotton bandanas, scarf styling tutorials are everywhere online.
In the name of research, I tried a few of them myself… and let’s just say the results were more poodle fresh from the beauty parlour than Parisian chic! 🐩
So, to save you from similar mishaps, here are four easy, wearable scarf styling ideas that I’m genuinely loving and wearing this season. No elaborate corsages or flamboyant bows — just simple, flattering ways to add a bit of style to everyday looks.
Each one uses our Organic Cotton Block Print Bandana Scarves — handmade by artisans in India, using traditional block printing and natural dyes. These scarves are light, breathable, and easy to wear, adding a touch of pattern and craftsmanship to even the simplest outfit.
Geek Girl
I’ve been leaning into my Geek Girl era lately — possibly inspired by my new reading specs and a vintage geography-teacher-style tank top. This look was sparked by the brilliant @sarah.corbettwinder, whose androgynous, carefree style I love.
It’s playful and easy — think tank-tops & cardigans layered over blouses. Here i've styles our Burgundy Block Print Bandana Scarf.
How to style it:
- Roll your bandana scarf lengthways.
- Loop it through the top button of your blouse.
- Tie a knot on one side.
- Thread the other side through that knot.
- Adjust until it resembles a loosely tied, slightly masculine necktie.
This one feels equal parts art teacher and French film extra — and I’m here for it.
PREPPY GIRL
This is probably my go-to look (I’m actually wearing it as I type). Think double denim, stripes, and simple knits — all in a navy and white palette.
It’s the perfect everyday scarf knot and works beautifully layered under a jacket or over a crisp shirt. Here I've styles our Indigo Block Print Bandana Scarf and I'm wearing my favourite Doffer Cap.
How to style it:
- Roll the scarf lengthways.
- Wrap it once around your neck or collar.
- Tie a small knot on one side.
- Thread the other end through the knot.
- Position the knot just below your collarbone — not too tight.
- Adjust the ends so they sit evenly.
Simple, classic, and a little bit coastal — the ultimate bandana scarf styling go-to.
SPORTY GIRL
I’m a cap lover — mainly because they disguise lazy hair days and make any outfit feel a little more “street.” I also spend most of my days in gym kit, either because I’m on my way to a workout… or just wishful thinking!
This look combines the practicality of a cap with the character of a scarf — and it’s ridiculously easy. Here I've styles our Black Block Print Bandana Scarf.
How to style it:
- Pop your cap on.
- Fold your bandana in half to form a triangle.
- Tie it over the top of your cap, knotting it loosely at the back.
It adds a touch of effortless style and feels fresh without trying too hard.
FEMININE GIRL
At heart, this one’s my natural style — soft neutrals, gentle fabrics and silhouettes that flatter without fuss.
Our Pink Organic Cotton Bandana Scarf is dyed with natural pigments and finished in a clay-pink tone that suits all skin tones. I’ve styled it in the triangle scarf trend that’s everywhere this season — simple, elegant, and very wearable.
How to style it:
- Fold your scarf diagonally into a triangle.
- Roll the widest edge 2–3 times.
- Wrap it around your shoulders with the point at the back.
- Leave one side longer, and tie a knot on that side.
- Thread the shorter side through the knot.
- Adjust until it sits neatly.
It’s soft, flattering, and feels a little romantic without being too precious or flouncy.
